Construction company chosen for UI Stanley Museum of Art

It’s been a long wait, but in just a few years the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art’s world-class collections will be brought home to support the education of UI students and to enrich the lives of people across the state. We’re looking forward to construction of the Stanley beginning in the fall. A public opening is estimated in 2022.

The bid was awarded to Russell Construction Co., Inc., of Davenport, Iowa. We’re excited to work with the company, which also constructed the Figge Art Museum.

Fundraising continues as we work to raise half of the $50 million cost for construction. To date, $20 million has been raised.
