A. M. "Pete" Wettach was a professional photographer from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, working from 1928 through the 1970s, who specialized in agricultural photography. He worked for the Farm Security Administration's Tenant Farmer Program in the 1930s and 1940s, and had the opportunity to photograph many of his southeastern Iowa neighbors. He documents transitions in farm life brought about by technological change and the introduction of modern amenities to rural residents.
