Dive In with the Stanley: Maiden Spirit Mask

  • 7:00 PM–8:00 PM

Online via Instagram Live

Have you heard about slow looking? Every Tuesday we invite you to slow down and spend time looking closely at a work in the museum’s collection. Then, at 7:00 pm central time, join your fellow lookers, Stanley Museum of Art director Lauren Lessing, and film critic Uri Lessing on Instagram Live.

This week, Lauren and Uri explore a Nigerian “Agbogho mmuo” [maiden spirit mask] by an Igbo artist. They will go live on Instagram at 7:00 p.m. June 1 to take a deep dive with you into what you see when looking at the artwork.

The program will be saved to Instagram TV if you are not able to join us live.
