Joshua Koza is a high school art instructor and freelance illustrator/designer living in Iowa City, IA. He was born and raised in Iowa City, IA. Koza earned a BFA in drawing, painting & printmaking from Iowa State University in 1998, a second degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2003 with an emphasis in traditional illustration, and later, a certification in Art Education from the University of Iowa. In 2009, he was hired by the Solon Community School District as the 9-12 Art instructor. Joshua continues to produce private and commercial work in both traditional and digital media, striving to instill his own enthusiasm and appreciation for art and art-making in his students.
