Party for art at the next University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) First Friday reception at FilmScene! UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal chance to usher in your weekend, enjoy the work of John Engelbrecht, and mingle with other art-enthusiasts.


John Engelbrecht is Director of the alternative arts venue Public Space One and an adjunct photography instructor at several institutions in the Iowa City area. He received his MFA from Iowa in 2009 and has shown his work nationally and internationally as well as been a strong advocate for homegrown art in eastern Iowa.

A continuation of Dream of the Silver Disc will be on view at The Times Club (at Prairie Lights), from March 28th through May 29th.

First Fridays are free and open to the public with complimentary popcorn and a cash bar.
