Party for art at the next University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) First Friday reception at FilmScene! UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal chance to usher in your weekend, enjoy the artwork of Matt Niebuhr, and mingle with other art-enthusiasts.

"Art out of Context: Possibilities in the Public Realm"

Matt Niebuhr will share recent work from his studio RDG Dahlquist Art Studio and a public art project commission underway in San Antonio, Texas.

Matt Niebuhr is an artist living in Des Moines, Iowa. Trained as an architect, Matt established a studio practice in the summer of 2012 named "West Branch Studio." In the Spring of 2013, Matt became a contributing artist, collaborator and designer engaged in making public art with RDG Dahlquist Art Studio in Des Moines, Iowa. He is now a Partner with the Studio.  Matt continues to develop his drawing practice at West Branch Studio and works closely in collaboration with David Dahlquist on a number of public art projects currently underway across the country.

First Fridays are free and open to the public with complimentary popcorn and a cash bar.
