Party for art at the next University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) First Friday reception on October 2, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at FilmScene! UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal chance to usher in your weekend, enjoy the work of Kathleen Rash, and mingle with other art-enthusiasts.

Iowa native and local artist Kathleen Rash studied with the UI School of Art & Art History, is a certified picture framer, a trained NWS/NOAA weather spotter, and by day is the owner of The Art Mission in Iowa City. “Blue Skies” is a small sample of a series of large-scale pastels exploring the life cycle of an Iowa storm.

First Fridays are free and open to the public with complimentary popcorn and a cash bar.

Consider becoming a UIMA member! Courtesies include home delivery of the UIMA magazine and a personalized Membership Card, which entitles you to free entry to the Figge Art Museum and reciprocal admission to other art museums around the country.
