PechaKucha: At the Literary and Visual Crossroads

Join us for an afternoon exploring the deep-rooted connection between writing and visual art at the museum.

Eight presenters, including writer-artists in residence with the International Writing Program this fall, will share their creative practices in the fast-paced PechaKucha format. Each speaker moves through 20 slides at 20 seconds apiece, offering a quick and lively look at the ways literary and visual art come together in their work. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A.

Presented in collaboration with the International Writing Program, this program continues the Stanley's work as a creative hub where the visual and literary arts meet, a role the museum is proud to champion as part of the University of Iowa's writing community.
