Private philanthropy is critical to the UI Stanley Museum of Art. Your annual support allows us to offer world-class exhibitions and programs. We appreciate gifts of all sizes, and donations of $500 or more to the Friends of the Museum of Art Fund receive special museum recognition.

Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art

Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art are supporters who make annual gifts of $250 or more. Each year, we will offer a Friends Preview Week. This weeklong event will offer Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art who make gifts in the previous giving year (July-June) the opportunity to learn about the exhibitions and programs we will offer to the public—and give them an inside look at the innovative education programs we offer K-12 and UI students.

Recognition Opportunities

We give special recognition to Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art who direct their support of $500 or more to the Friends of the Museum of Art Fund. Recognition opportunities are announced in the spring and go into effect in the next giving year.

We can recognize your gift in a variety of ways! We will work with you to ensure that this recognition is meaningful to you, and we’ll offer a variety of recognition opportunities—including on exhibitions, events, K-12 programs, and student success initiatives—at each giving level.

Planning your Friends Support

Consider making a multiyear pledge to the UI Stanley Museum of Art. Friends who commit to supporting our museum for three to five years help us plan for the future. If you make a multiyear commitment, you will receive the first look at annual recognition opportunities and will be invited to an annual reception for Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art who make multiyear commitments. Your annual recognition level will be based on the contributions you make each giving year.

Directors Circle Reception

Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art who made gifts of $1,000 or more in the previous giving year will be invited to our annual reception.

Recurring Giving

Consider setting up a monthly gift to the UI Stanley Museum of Art and make a difference all year long! Your recurring gift will offer us a steady source of funding throughout the year. When you fill out the giving form, indicate the amount you want to donate each month and select "recurring."

Endowment Gifts

You can support the UI Stanley Museum of Art by making an endowed gift. An endowment is a self-sustaining fund that is invested in perpetuity, and the earnings are used to support museum activities. Friends of the UI Stanley Museum of Art who direct their support to endowed funds will receive recognition through the initiatives those funds support. Annual supporters of endowed funds who make a gift of $250 or more will be invited to the annual Friends of the Stanley event, and supporters of endowed funds who make a gift of $1,200 or more will be invited to the Directors Circle Reception.
