Exhibition Open House | Contemporary Paintings from Myanmar

Exhibition Open House | Contemporary Paintings from Myanmar promotional image

Join us for an open house exploring the student-curated Fall 2026 Visual Lab Exhibition of contemporary Myanmar paintings. The evening opens with presentations in the Visual Classroom, where students share the research and ideas that shaped the show. A special guest from the Center for Burma Studies at Northern Illinois University will offer opening remarks. Guests are then invited into the Visual Lab to view the exhibition, with a student-written catalog to take home.

This open house is a chance to see the work of University of Iowa students up close and to explore contemporary Southeast Asian art through their eyes.
