Kids will give bottle caps, jar lids, and other everyday odds and ends a second life at the Stanley Museum of Art, by building their very own upcycled owl. An assemblage is a three-dimensional artwork made by combining found objects, and children will learn how artists choose, arrange, and layer materials to create texture, balance, and a character with personality.

Please arrive in time for children to settle in and begin the project at 2 p.m.

School's Out at the Stanley is offered on days when the Iowa City Community School District has no classes. Art projects are developed with school-aged children in mind. All abilities and experience levels are welcome. Caregivers must remain with children during the program.
