Winter comes indoors at the Stanley Museum of Art as kids spend their day off from school building a snowy scene inside a tin box. Children will learn how artists use layering, foreground and background, and scale to create depth in a small space, then use those ideas to build a miniature winter world of their own.

Please arrive in time for children to settle in and begin the project at 2 p.m.

School's Out at the Stanley is offered on days when the Iowa City Community School District has no classes. Art projects are developed with school-aged children in mind. All abilities and experience levels are welcome. Caregivers must remain with children during the program.
