Join us for the 2025 Downtown Fall Gallery Walk at the Stanley Museum of Art! The museum will be open late for a special evening of art, food, and exploration.

Stop by to discover the latest exhibition, Hayward Oubre: Structural Integrity, which explores a previously unexamined history of American modernism, or revisit the early years of the University of Iowa's MFA program in In the Studio: Art at Iowa in the 1940s.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the galleries, take in our beautiful outdoor spaces, and recharge with free refreshments in the lobby. Don't miss this unique opportunity to experience the Stanley on a Friday evening!

In addition, the Main Library Gallery will be open late as part of the Iowa City Downtown District's Fall Gallery Walk. Stop in between 5 and 8 p.m. to see Paper Engineering in Art, Science, and Education, curated by Giselle Simón, Damien Ihrig, and Elizabeth Yale. This interactive exhibition showcases the fascinating world and history of movable books and paper technologies. After visiting, stop by the nearby Stanley Museum of Art and the Pentacrest Museums to see their current exhibits.
