The first UI class was held at the Stanley on July 5! We were so happy to host students enrolled in the Advanced Anatomy for Athletic Training course taught by Dr. Martine Dunnwald, research associate professor at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Carver College of Medicine. Students examined reproductions of prints and photographs from the Stanley and UI Libraries collections to learn about lower limbs.  Works by Hans Breder, founder of UIowa’s Intermedia and Video Art program, Philip Pearlstien, Barbara Morgan and more were included in the study.

Coordinated by Kathryn Reuter, academic outreach coordinator for the University of Iowa Libraries Special Collections and Archives and the Stanley Museum of Art. Kathryn works to make art accessible to all students and bring awareness to how these collections can benefit learning across campus.  Want to know more about how UI faculty from all disciplines can use the Stanley as a teaching resource?
