Review of private event requests for spring will begin in January 2023 in the order of receipt.

From minimal to elaborate, our lobby and terrace spaces can transform into the ideal destination for your guests. Due to their prominent locations within the building, special considerations for scheduling and safety accompany their use and can be reviewed below.

  • To allow visitors full access to the building and collection during normal museum hours, private events may only be scheduled during the periods below.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am – 12:00pm; 5:00pm – 9:00pm

  • For the safety of both your party and the collection, we require onsite security during after-hours events. Depending on the extent of the event, we may also require museum staff to be present for support. These services will be charged in addition to the facility fee, and clearly quoted for review prior to final booking. 
  • While gallery access will not be available during after-hours events, there is still a chance to allow your guests to be inspired by the Stanley's incredible collection by adding one hour of private time in the galleries at the beginning of your event.

As our largest gathering space, our natural light bathed lobby will be your choice for occasions welcoming up to 150 guests. The open layout invites many different versatile layouts to accommodate events ranging from lectures, presentations, and department retreats to dinners, musical performances, and weddings.
