Explain your experience working for the Stanley:

At the Stanley I am a Gallery Host and the Communications and Marketing Assistant. Within these roles I help welcome guests into the museum, provide helpful information and directions, and create fun Instagram Reels. I have really enjoyed working at the Stanley over the last year, getting to know both the staff and the art!☺️

How did your involvement at the Stanley compliment your studies?

As a Journalism and Mass Communications and Art History double major working at the Stanley has been a perfect opportunity for me to learn about art and use my writing skills for our social media sites!

What was your favorite moment or part of working at the Stanley?

I have had a couple favorite moments from working at the Stanley! I really like helping guests with scavenger hunts and hearing about how they did - the best part is giving them the prize at the end and seeing how happy they are. Also, I have loved working on Thursday evenings because I am able to listen to all our interesting artist talks and events!🎨​​​​​​​

Where are you headed next?

Next year I will be staying in Iowa City doing something fun, I hope! I am excited to find out where life takes me after college!

What will you miss most about Iowa?

Considering I will not be leaving Iowa, I won’t miss anything! However, I will miss working at the Stanley in the fall as I have made so many new friends and learned so much about art and museum work!💛🖤
