This November, join the Stanley Campus Council in their efforts to help support the Food Pantry at Iowa!

The Food Pantry is a free service available for any student, staff, or faculty member at the University of Iowa that provides nutritious food and basic necessities for those in need. Bins will be placed in the Stanley Museum of Art lobby from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30, 2022.

 

All donations are welcome, but the Food Pantry is especially interested in the following items:

 

  • Boxed pasta
  • Canned or bagged beans
  • Canned or boxed soups
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Bagged rice, quinoa
  • Boxed crackers and snacks
  • Jarred nut butters, salsas, and spreads
  • Syrup and bottled dressing
  • Pancake and baked good mixes
  • Vegetable, canola, and other cooking oils
  • Flour, sugar, salt, and other spices
  • Shelf-stable plant based milks
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Pads and tampons
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toilet paper
  • Diapers and baby wipes
  • Ziploc bags and plastic wrap

The SCC and the Stanley Museum of Art are only able to accommodate shelf-stable, nonperishable, and hygiene product donations at this point in time. If you would like to donate fresh/ perishable food items, please contact studorg-foodpantry@uiowa.edu. If you are unable to donate physical goods, you can also check out the Food Pantry's Amazon Wishlist, or contribute a tax-deductible monetary gift through the UI Center for Advancement.
