The Thresholds series highlights Iowa-affiliated artists working in a range of media. Through temporary commissions in the museum's lobby and its vicinity, the series celebrates the state's rich artistic legacies. Thresholds installations welcome visitors into the museum and enliven the building's primary public event spaces.  “The whole point of the Thresholds series is to draw people across our threshold,” Stanley Museum of Art director Lauren Lessing says, “to make them curious, to bring them in, to engage them in this space.”
